Permission to Play - Surface Design Workshop

Have you always wanted to try out interesting surface design techniques and products without stress? In this workshop you will explore a wide variety of surface design techniques such as fabric painting, sun printing, fabric manipulation, stamp making, rubbing, stenciling, stamping, rubbings, layering, thermofax screen printing and foiling. You will not only become comfortable with a wide range of easy to use surface design tools, you will also incorporate these original fabrics into a contemporary artwork using Lisa’s Fantastic Fusion techniques. Two workshops in one.

Bio: Lisa Walton from Sydney Australia has been awarded many prizes for her quilts including major International and Australian Quilt shows such as the AQS in Paducah USA and Festival of Quilts UK. She has been widely published in major Australian, USA & French quilt magazines.  
Lisa teaches all over Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Europe & South Africa. Lisa was awarded the Jewel Pearce Patterson Scholarship for Quilting Teachers by the International Quilt Association Houston USA. Her book – Beautiful Building Block Quilts was published in 2013 by C&T Publishing. Her e-book series – Creative Journeys is available on Amazon.com. She also leads textile tours to Asia, Japan and Europe. Lisa is also President of Studio Art Quilt Associates - SAQA.
